Seventies twist - Sliema

This spacious apartment in the heart of Sliema, retains all its original features comprising large rooms, white washed walls, and 70’s style arches in the hallway. For the purpose of the design scheme, we have left the configuration the same, and styled it to be a truly remarkable family home in the making. A warm Mediterranean , cost, earthy vibe awaits in the main lounge and dining section, with sage as an accent colour, contrasting against white walls, and raw furniture pieces, accessorised by textural throws, and sheepskins, as well as vintage style carpets, and sweeping sheers, set against the fixed window seat, prettily laid out with cushions. A striking tan leather sofa, and deep green swivel armchairs take centre stage; the same green leads itself into the dining chairs, contrasted by the neutral corner armchair and lowline side board and dining table..

A nostalgic feeling sweeps the hallway clad in dusty rose, off white and brass accents, with an iconic basket light fitting setting the stage for more retro pieces ahead. In the simple white functional kitchen, we jazzed up with a colourful bazaar like dresser and side board, and a new white round table in marble with contrasting yellow chairs. This happy notion, leads well into the family room - a room of deep greys and mustards, for easy evenings by the TV, clutching a book, and snoozing into the chunky knit throws. In the home studio, doubling up as an office, we welcome deep blue tones, on a focal wall, as well as in the loveseat that lays beside the wall. A stylish, eye catching room for taking a respite or focusing on a project at the gentlemen’s desk.

The kids bedroom, has been artistically thought out to feature 70’s style wicker furniture set against a fantasy cactus backdrop, combined with two single beds, facing an artful wall. Finally the master bedroom, is a Spanish retreat; a terracotta feature wall with matching lampshades sets the tone against classy Italian contemporary bedroom pieces in off white, and completed by a walnut panel behind the bed, for maximum effect and statement. A delightful family home to be enjoyed through the ages, with timeless choices and long lasting style.
