Townhouse Vibes - Mosta
This families lovely townhouse in the centre of Mosta was already very well finished. The owners were looking for some original ideas for their entrance/hallway, home office, dining and lounge area on the ground floor. Upstairs we worked on the master bedroom, a teen bedroom, a spare bedroom, the space under the stairs, as well as a laundry room. This was a fun project because it was all encompassing. The warm mustard and wooden tones of the hallway worked so well with the natural stone walls; we used carpets and hanging décor to add interest and intrigue, as well as a pair of matching velvet armchairs to create a cosy nook to frame the wall. The dining room impressed with its height and we played on the use of greys and whites to reflect on silver accents and glass.
The millroom was a highlight in itself with its arches and crannies – a central fireplace was adorned with a brass fireguard, surrounded by objects d’art in classic blue and white willow pattern. Soft furnishings in blues and brass play an integral part in the overall styling of this room. In the upstairs living room, we played on taupe, duck egg and wicker – soft hues with a natural feel, for this easy family chill out room, whereas the main bedroom and bathroom had a luxe natural infusion, with soft fabrics, layers of white and beige, natural objects on display and a brass art décor table with matching wall lights.
Shades of blue, white and mustard lift off the teen bedroom, as shades of lavender and grey give a provincial charm to the spare room. Akin to SAKS style, the space under the stairs was a botanical haven with bright daylight, a chill out chair and hanging ferns, leading to the upstairs quirky laundry room, full of functionality and space. A lovely family with original touches.
