Old Meets New - Zurrieq

A delightful townhouse in the heart of Zurrieq with lots of character, especially original patterned Maltese tiles, which served as the basis for the design in the entire ground floor space. We used grey, gold and emerald green for the living room, as these warm shades worded best with natural state, and the green picked up on the essence of the floor tiles. We kept it fresh by the addition of whites and creams, especially on sheers, and additional touches. The imposing hallway and its high ceilings deserved an imposing chandelier, whilst setting the look for the entire hallway area, to be dressed in whites and silver.

On the dining front, we went with shabby chic style furniture on a stripped grey (upcycling of existing pieces was recommended), wooden dining table and warm green velvet chairs, finished off with a dark green feature wall and a golden intricate mirror for scale and effect. Bringing in colour, warmth and design, into an already cosy space.
